Sookshmadarshini : Amid the highly awaited Ott grand debut, Nazriya Nazim, Basil Joseph’s recent dark comedy mystery thriller flick leaked online. Check out for film Ott release date and platform here.

The recent blockbuster Malayalam flick Sookshmadarshini was released in theatres on 22 November 2024, to positive reviews from critics and emerged as a blockbuster at the box office. The movie had collected Rs. 55 crores at the global box office amid the limited theatrical release in Kerala.

The thriller is helmed by M. C. Jithin, written by Libin T.B & Athul Ramachandran and is funded by A. V. Anoop, Shyju Khalid and Sameer Thahir under the banner Happy Hours Entertainments and AVA Productions. It stars Nazriya Nazim , Basil Joseph , Akhila Bhargavan , Merin Philip, Pooja Mohanraj , Siddharth Bharathan,Deepak Parambol , Kottayam Ramesh, Manohari Joy and marks Nazriya’s return to Mollywood after a four year hiatus.

However, despite speculation that the flick may soon be released on OTT via a major streaming service, the film’s producers have been fighting piracy.

The released online by unknown people on YouTube and Telegram just days after its theatrical release.While the video was quickly removed, it had already received numerous views. Surprisingly, despite remedial steps, the film’s makers have continued to battle piracy since December 18, when it was leaked on an online domain in full HD.

Director MC Jithin took to his social media accounts and addressed the ongoing piracy, he wrote,” Initially Sookshmadarshini’s HD quality version was leaked on Telegram. This was taken down by our anti-piracy team. Hardly four days ago, we were notified that the film was leaked on YouTube. We tried to remove it at the earliest, but by then the film had 10,000 views. It was surprising to see the film leaked online again yesterday despite limited release.
