The preparations for War 2, the Hindi-speaking debut of Jr. NTR, have created much buzz and curiosity about whether he is walking into fame with a bit of overconfidence. Though there is no evidence of him calling War 2 the ‘GOAT’, he has sounded like this superstar is entering the milestone with all humility and simple gratitude in interviews. I hail my director, ayaan Mukherjee, Jr. NTR said; I should have come for the event of brahmastra. But due to ganesh nimarjan or something, I couldn’t reach for the event, but also because of final cuts for the films, ayaan did not make it for the event. But today he is here in Hyderabad for pre-release event as my director for the film war 2. “There wouldn’t have been any Directors in the world other than Ayaan Mukherjee to helm war 2. You will understand after watching the film, Ayaan Mukherjee was the only option, and he will be remembered for directing GOAT war 2.”
He also raised two collars for the first time during the guaranteeing hungama around the success of war 2. Something that he never did earlier as he usually raised one collar, but for war 2 he raised two collars to show how confident he was. Hrithik Roshan appears along with Jr. NTR raising both his collars.
When asked, why War 2, he answered, this project was because of a great script, it was a challenge, and he was eager to work with Hrithik Roshan. He also described his character as “intense and emotional” and expressed real thanks to fans for their outpouring love.
Behind the scenes, his gut instinct – everything has to be done on the fly. Runs into some creative tussles with director Ayan Mukerji, who favors a pre-prepared meticulous preparation for everything. Reports suggest that this difference had even forced producer Aditya Chopra to get into the act. Far from bravado, these instances show that Jr. NTR is thoughtfully asserting his craft-grounded in conviction, not arrogance.
