Udaipur Files: Mohammad Javed, one of the defendants in the murder case, filed an appeal that stayed the release of Udaipur Files: Kanhaiya Lal Tailor Murder. The Delhi High Court later denied his appeal, and theaters screened the movie on August 8, 2025, to positive reviews from both critics and audiences. Starring Vijay Raaz, the movie tells the story of the 2022 murder of Kanhaiya Lal, a tailor from Udaipur.
