Kartik Aaryan has surprised fans yet again, this time, by stepping into the role of a pilot in Captain India, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Hansal Mehta. Known for his comedy and charm, Kartik now dives into intense, dramatic territory with this patriotic thriller.
The actor took to social media to share the first poster, showing him in uniform with his head bowed, adjusting his pilot’s cap. The caption read, “When a man goes beyond the call of duty… With great pride and honour, we bring to you #CaptainIndia.”
Captain India is inspired by one of the biggest and most successful rescue operations in Indian history. The story follows a man who risks everything to save thousands from a war-torn country, highlighting courage, duty, and sacrifice. Kartik called the film “inspiring and thrilling in equal measure.” He added, “It gives me great pride and honour to be part of such a historic chapter. I have immense respect for Hansal sir’s work, and this was the perfect opportunity to collaborate with him.”
Hansal Mehta, known for gritty dramas like Shahid and Scam 1992, said the film is about a man who “goes beyond his own pain to save thousands.” He expressed excitement about working with Kartik and praised the actor’s dedication. The film is being produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Harman Baweja, both known for their bold content choices.
