Nagarjuna Akkineni is back to host Bigg Boss Telugu Season 9. This marks his seventh time leading the popular reality show. Reports say Nagarjuna will earn a whopping Rs. 30 crore this year Rs 10 crore more than his last season’s pay. His charm and wit are expected to bring fresh energy to the show.
Bigg Boss Telugu Season 9 will premiere on September 7, 2025, on Star Maa and stream on JioHotstar. Before the main show begins, a digital pre-show called Bigg Boss Agnipariksha will start on August 23, 2025. This pre-show will introduce viewers to potential contestants battling for a spot in the main house.
For the first time, commoners will join celebrities in Bigg Boss Telugu. Forty shortlisted contestants will compete in Agnipariksha challenges, and the top three will enter the main house. The season will feature a unique Double House format. Celebrities and commoners will live in separate houses initially, creating new strategic dynamics.
Reports suggest actor Navdeep, Season 4 winner Abijeet, and OTT winner Bindu Madhavi will judge Bigg Boss Agnipariksha. This is the first time past contestants will help pick new participants, adding intrigue to the competition. Their experience as former contestants is expected to bring valuable insights during the selection process. This move also connects the new season with the show’s legacy, giving fans familiar faces to follow.
