Why Nagarjuna Chose to Play Baddie in Coolie? Real Reason Revealed

Why Nagarjuna Chose to Play Baddie in Coolie? Real Reason Revealed

Nagarjuna in Coolie: All over the decades, Nagarjuna had been an inspiration for romancing the hero characters in almost all his films. But this time for the upcoming Rajinikanth-starrer Coolie, the superstar dared to go really bold. “I got bored being goodie all the time, so done Villain,” Nagarjuna admitted with his grinning face. This certainly has something interesting about his career which creates a passion in fans to see how he delivers on darker, riskier images on screen.

Dream-Project with Lokesh and Anirudh

One of the biggest reasons is collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj and Anirudh Ravichander. Lokesh often known for his clung story and villainous characters, has perhaps designed a perfect role for Nagarjuna to make his entry into dark side. Anirudh composed the really electrifying track “I Am the Danger” as the character anthem for Nagarjuna. The actor admits, “I was dying & waiting to work with Anirudh & Lokesh.”

Music Shapes the Notion of the Villain

Nagarjuna shared something interesting about the shooting process: Lokesh used to put on random tracks, made exclusively for the villain scenes. So, put him right into the mood. “This really worked wonders,” he said, revealing how music became a mental conditioner for his performance. This is a team-up of director, composer, and actor that promises a stylish yet threatening villain.

What It Means on Coolie

With Rajinikanth himself at the helm and Nagarjuna coming in as a fierce antagonist. Coolie is stacked to be an exhilarating experience at the movies. Lokesh’s knack for razor-edged confrontations, fuelled by the throbbing music of Anirudh, guarantees that the hero-villain dynamic would be among the most striking highlights of the film.

At this point, that change for Coolie was more than taking on a role. It was a sort of statement. Putting on that villainous side just broadens his gamut and gives the audience something new to experience. If all excitement were to be drawn from his own words, this dangerous new persona could be among the most iconic characters of his career.
