Taking to X (formerly Twitter), he congratulated Rajinikanth on completing 50 years in cinema and hailed the film as a “power-packed mass entertainer.” Stalin said he thoroughly enjoyed the movie, surprising many since he rarely publicly praises films he isn’t connected to.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie is a gangster drama set against the backdrop of gold smuggling. Rajinikanth plays an ex-porter who takes on a powerful smuggling empire. The film boasts an ensemble cast including Aamir Khan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan, and Sathyaraj.
