Coolie Celebrations: On August 14, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s eagerly awaited movie Coolie was finally launched, bringing Rajinikanth back to the big screen. When the movie came out, fans were so excited that they threw milk at Rajinikanth’s posters while dancing to the dhol in front of the theater. When the hero entered the theater, the spectators were so thrilled that they halted the performance to celebrate.

Pictures and videos flood social media as supporters celebrate Rajinikanth’s big-screen comeback. Early in the morning, many of the actor’s admirers gather at movie theaters. In some clips, supporters drench a huge picture of the actor with milk to mark the film’s release. Other footage shows fans dancing to dhol beats both inside and outside the theater. In more videos, fans dance in elevators on their way to watch the movie.
One viral video captures the audience cheering, jumping from their seats, and dancing with joy as Rajinikanth appears on screen. Additional videos show fans dancing, clicking pictures, and enjoying time with their families in front of the enormous Coolie posters.

Rajinikanth stars in Coolie, which Lokesh Kanagaraj directs, making it one of the year’s most anticipated movies. Kalanithi Maran’s Sun Pictures produces the film, featuring Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Reba Monica John, Junior MGR, and Monisha Blessy. Aamir Khan also appears in a brief guest role.
The British Board of Film Classification describes the action drama: “A mysterious man takes a stand against a corrupt syndicate exploiting and abusing the workers of a port town.” The team has not revealed the film’s full synopsis. According to Sacnilk, the movie has excelled in pre-sales, selling over 12 lakh tickets on its first day and crossing the ₹100 crore mark for its first weekend.
