Filmmaker Karan Johar has come on board to present Teja Sajja’s much-awaited film ‘Mirai’ in the northern territories. His banner, Dharma Productions, will release the film in Hindi, giving the Telugu superhero adventure a major national boost. The official announcement came on Thursday, confirming Dharma’s involvement in the project.
While Johar previously presented blockbuster South Indian films like Baahubali: The Beginning and Devara, Mirai is a rare Telugu-language venture he’s backing post-Liger. According to reports, he was impressed by the film’s concept and visuals. The superhero-style storyline and action-packed sequences convinced him that Mirai could appeal to a pan-India audience.
Teja Sajja stars as a “Super Yodha” in Mirai, a character crafted for intense action and emotional depth. From his first look to the teaser, the film has captured attention for its ambitious scale. Teja reportedly underwent a physical transformation for the role and performed several dangerous stunts himself, including a dramatic action sequence on top of a moving train.
Directed by Karthik Gattamneni, Mirai blends mythic storytelling with cutting-edge visual effects. The film aims to offer a unique cinematic experience with larger-than-life characters and stunning fight choreography. Ritika Nayak plays the female lead, while Manoj Manchu appears in a villainous role.
