Jr. NTR Hindi Debut at Risk: Jr. NTR was supposed to make his Bollywood foray here in a much-hyped event, branded as a once-in-a-generation experience for Indian cinema. The real action is War 2-would be the crown jewel: Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR, YRF Spy Universe-basically, Bollywood’s answer to “let’s throw all the action in one blender and hope for this to be epic.”
And now? Twitter says… maybe not.
Big promises bigger stunts, bigger sets, bigger explosions-the sequel to the 2019 hit War was supposed to be just that-larger than life and blockbuster on steroids. Jr. NTR fresh from RRR’s glory lap at the Oscars-was supposed to take his official red carpet walk into Bollywood’s big league.
Grapevine chatter is that a handful of distributors and streaming platforms have gotten cold feet. They’ve heard theories such as “sky-high production costs,” “audience fatigue,” or “post-pandemic jitters.” The fact remains, though: none has confirmed anything yet. Not YRF, not the stars, not even an anonymous “close source.”
If true, the pull-outs could mess with the film’s marketing budget or release timeline. But let’s be real-Jr. NTR fans showed up for RRR in every hallowed time zone. A little behind-the-scenes turbulence isn’t going to stop them from turning up again.

Yash Raj Films, as always, is saying absolutely nothing. And in Bollywood, that usually means: “We shall wait until the storm passes, then drop a teaser that breaks the Internet.”
Yes, War 2 is on the trending list. Yes, the “buyers backing out” angle has created juicy tweets. But unless someone actually pulls the plug, this is still on track to be one of 2025’s loudest releases. Until then, Twitter will keep doing what it does best-“Panic First, Fact Check Later.”
