Army Jawan Beaten: In a startling event that caused worldwide indignation, toll plaza workers in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, brutally attacked an Indian Army jawan late on Sunday night. When the altercation broke out, the soldier, named as Kapil Kavad, was traveling with his cousin to Delhi airport to return to his military duties. Along the crowded Meerut–Karnal expressway, the unsettling occurrence took place near the Bhuni Toll Plaza.

Outrage was sparked when several toll employees banded together and viciously beat Kavad, trapping him against a pole in the video that has gone viral on social media. Addressing this issue Meerut Police has given the statement through their official X account, “Under the Sarurpur police station area, at the Bhuni Toll Plaza, an incident of assault on an Indian Army soldier by toll workers occurred. The police took swift action and arrested 04 accused individuals. A statement regarding this matter was given by the Superintendent of Police (Rural).” Police told.
