After a string of underwhelming box office performances, Kiran Abbavaram seems determined to turn things around. His recent film KA offered a flicker of hope, and he’s now carefully choosing his next moves. Currently, Kiran is working on K-Ramp with director Jains Nani, targeting a Diwali 2025 release, and also has Chennai Love Story lined up for next year. He’s reportedly being more selective with scripts and focusing on strong, rooted storytelling that aligns with his strengths. Industry insiders say he’s also in talks with a few mid-range banners to build a more stable film lineup.
In an interesting development, Kiran is reportedly in early discussions with director Srikanth Addala for a new project. Industry sources say Kiran has already given a first nod after hearing the story pitch. Addala, known for Kotha Bangaru Lokam and Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, is said to be polishing the script before making things official.
The film, if it materializes, could mark a major turning point for both Kiran and Srikanth Addala both are looking to bounce back after recent setbacks. Srikanth Addala’s last release, Pedda Kapu (2023), didn’t resonate with audiences.
Adding weight to the buzz, Rana Daggubati is likely to come on board as a co-producer. His involvement could give the film wider reach and stronger backing. The story is expected to unfold in a Godavari village setting, a backdrop that has worked well for both Kiran and Addala in the past.
If the project takes off, it could provide Kiran Abbavaram with a fresh platform to solidify his place among Telugu cinema’s young leads. For Srikanth Addala, it offers a chance at redemption and a return to his storytelling roots. An official announcement is expected soon.
