Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming projection Vishwambara has seen several delays so far. The crew has now set a planned release window during Diwali weekend on 17th October 2025. A new teaser is set for release on Chiranjeevi’s birthday, August 22.
The delay was mostly because of the extensive post production work, especially VFX. The crew was not happy with the output before.
According to the latest update, the VFX is looking good now. The post production team has been working day and night so as to finish it all in time.
Director Vassishta confirmed that the film has around 4800 VFX shots, making it one of the most ambitious Telugu films of all time.
In addition, there were rumors that the earlier teaser had received a bad response, which led Chiranjeevi to direct the team to redo the VFX work. Director Vassishta denied these rumours and called the reports fake. He indicated that the only reason for the delay was the sheer number of VFX shots. According to him the movie has 4,800 VFX shots. He went on to say, “We want to provide a complete, visual, cinema experience on the screen, and that takes time and effort.”
Vishwambara is a socio-fantasy film directed by Vassishta, who made his debut with Bimbisara. It features Chiranjeevi and Trisha Krishnan in the lead roles and MM Keeravani, the Oscar-winning composer, has done the music for the movie. It is produced by UV Creations, one of the best production houses in Telugu cinema.
The team has already locked the teaser and it will drop on August 22, Chiranjeevi’s birthday. Fans are eagerly waiting for this teaser after being told the visuals were grand.
As Vishwambara nears completion, Chiranjeevi began working on yet another film directed by Anil Ravipudi. It is said to be released before Vishwambara is out. Meanwhile, fans are hoping that Vishwambara will deliver a grand experience in theaters this Diwali, making the wait worth it.
