NCB Disabled Comments on Alia Bhatt’s Anti-Drug Video Campaign

Recently, the Narcotics Control Bureau collaborated with Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt for an anti-drug awareness video campaign. Though this campaign aimed at spreading positive messages to the youth, the disabling of comments on the video has raised eyebrows and incited debates across social media. NCB Disabled Comments on Alia Bhatt’s Anti-Drug Video Campaign.

Alia Bhatt’s Anti-Drug Video Campaign

In this campaign, Alia Bhatt was all prepared to set the rising youth against the addiction dangers of drugs and keep them away from the menace of narcotics. In association with a popular Bollywood star, the NCB hoped to create a wider impact and thus bring its message across.

What Was the Reason for Disabling Comments?

Soon after the release, fans found the comment section disabled on all NCB official handles. The reports state that comments were disabled to avoid trolilng, political backlash, and negative commentary that could overshadow the purpose of the campaign. In the past, controversies surrounding celebrity involvement in anti-drug initiatives rather than focusing on the actual problem were quite common.

Reactions of the Public to the Move:

This was a decision that could be seen in mixed light. While most peoples considered it as a pragmatic step towards keeping the campaign legitimate and devoid of distractions, others countered that open discussion is necessary for awareness programs and some critics viewed allowing comments to possibly lead to serious discussions and engagement thereby strengthening the campaign.

Alia Bhatt’s Involvement

It was a strategic measure because Alia Bhatt is one of the few really influential stars in Bollywood-one of the most popular. Her involvement made the project more open to polarized reactions due to her stature as an actress. However, this could have been the reason for the NCB to restrict interaction with audiences.
