Rare White Owl Seen on Kashi Vishwanath’s Golden Peak


Kashi Vishwanath Temple: Moments that leave devotees in wonder are common in Varanasi, the city of faith and devotion. A pure white owl was recently sighted sitting atop the golden peak of Baba Vishwanath’s sanctuary at the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, marking one of these uncommon occurrences. Devotees became curious and reverent as the strange encounter immediately became the talk of the town.

According to media sources, at approximately 10 p.m. on Monday, a white owl suddenly materialized and perched elegantly atop the temple’s golden spire. But by dawn it had disappeared. “As received on WhatsApp, following Shayan Aarti, white owls have been seen on Baba’s peak, which is considered a symbol of auspiciousness,” said Vishwa Bhushan Mishra, the Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust, in a Facebook post on the incident. What is Important in White Owl?

Owls have great symbolic value in Indian culture. They are regarded as the goddess of wealth, prosperity, and good fortune, Lakshmi’s vahana, or vehicle. A white owl is even more significant because the color is associated with purity and divine favors, even though owls in general are associated with her presence.
