In Bollywood, Vicky Kaushal’s historical drama ‘Chhaava’ has shaken the box office this year. Made on a budget of Rs. 130 crore, this movie has collected Rs. 808.70 crore worldwide and became the highest-grossing film of 2025. The film received a good response not only in India but also abroad. This film, which is based on history, impressed the audience technically and in terms of story.
We have already said that small films have proved their worth..? Small films have always proved their worth in Tollywood, but this time a low-budget film from Bollywood has shaken the box office. This film is none other than ‘Saiyaara’. The film, which collected good collections for a few weeks after its release, lost its stability due to the impact of big films like Coolie War 2 that came later. However, the film collected 542.40 crores at the box office and became the second highest-grossing film of 2025.
One of the two movies currently making theaters tremble is Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’. It has not even been 10 days since the release of this movie. But till now, this movie has collected 441.30 crores worldwide. This movie is getting a good response not only in India but also abroad. Coolie is currently at the third position. Coolie’s position is likely to change when the overall collections report comes out.
War 2, starring NTR and Hrithik Roshan, is also doing decent business at the box office. The film, which was released amidst huge expectations, has crossed the 300 crore collection mark so far. War 2, which is second only to Coolie in terms of grosses, has become the fourth highest grossing movie of 2025. It is reported that War 2 was made by Yash Raj Films with a budget of over 400 crores.
In Telugu cinema, the film ‘sankranthiki vasthunam’ has become the top grosser in Tollywood this year, collecting over Rs. 300 crores. Another Bollywood film that has achieved the highest grossing this year is Housefull. This comedy entertainer film, made on a huge budget, has collected Rs. 292 crores worldwide. Apart from these, Mohanlal-starrer Empuraan and Aamir Khan-starrer Sitare Zameen Par have also achieved good collections.
