Kanpur News: While attempting to board a moving train at Kanpur Central Railway Station late at night, an elderly woman slipped and fell between the train and the platform. The woman’s life was saved when the train was halted in time. All credit goes to the RPF’s attentiveness and the assistance of the passengers. Bystanders and the local CCTV system caught the entire episode, which is currently becoming viral online.

The late-night Garib Rath Express (12593) was parked on platform number 5 at Kanpur Central Railway Station when the tragedy occurred. An elderly Farrukhabad resident named Mahima Gangwar attempted to join the departing train as soon as it began to leave the station.

RPF officers arrived at the scene and rescued the woman as soon as the passengers pulled the chain to halt the train following the incident. After tumbling on the track, Mahima Gangwar sustained injuries. She was admitted right away to the closest hospital. Her condition is reportedly stabilized now that she has received basic treatment.

Mahima Gangwar’s life was saved by good fortune and the RPF’s prompt action. According to RPF personnel, a serious accident could have occurred if there had been even a single second of delay. According to the official information, the woman is not in danger.
