Is Teja Sajja the ‘Mythology Hero’ of Tollywood?

Teja Sajja: It looks like Teja Sajja has discovered the ultimate shortcut to success, just add some gods, sprinkle divine powers, throw in a staff or weapon from some forgotten yuga, and boom, blockbuster incoming. After Hanu-Man turned into a career-changing hit, Teja seems to have decided that his personal genre is “mythological action drama” and nothing else. Why bother with rom-coms or thrillers when gods and VFX can do the heavy lifting?

His earlier experiments, like Adbhutham and Ishq, didn’t just flop; they vanished faster than free train Wi-Fi. Nobody even remembers those films except people who accidentally clicked on them while scrolling. So, what did Teja do? He simply rebranded himself as the “Mythology Hero of Tollywood.” Now comes Mirai, releasing this September, yet another mythological fantasy drama. Basically, it feels like Teja is on a mission: “If it’s not about gods, superpowers, or sacred scriptures, count me out.” At this rate, fans won’t be surprised if his next movie is again a mythological drama.

The main question from the audience is, “Is Teja actually playing safe, or is he genuinely convinced that audiences only want to see him fighting demons with CGI weapons? Either way, it looks like he has officially locked himself into the divine cinema universe.” So yes, while other actors struggle to balance genres, Teja Sajja is happily setting up camp in Mythological Nagar. Maybe his career mantra is simple: “In flop we don’t trust, in mythology we must.”
