The wait is finally over! Bigg Boss Telugu 9 will officially premiere on September 7, and fans can expect the biggest and boldest season yet. Hosted once again by King Nagarjuna, the upcoming season is already making waves with its unique “Agnipariksha” theme a trial by fire designed to test contestants like never before.
Before the main season launch, the makers introduced a pre-show titled ‘Bigg Boss Agnipariksha: Big Before the Biggest’, where 45 shortlisted contestants competed for a spot in the main house. After several intense rounds testing physical strength, mental agility, and emotional resilience, the Top 15 contestants were selected. The judging panel features former Bigg Boss stars Abijeet, Navdeep, and Bindu Madhavi, while anchor Sreemukhi leads the show.
In a recent task, contestants had to rank themselves from 1 to 15, which immediately sparked heated arguments. Contestant Shriya pushed Dalia to the 15th spot, but in a twist, Dalia was made the Sanchalak (supervisor). She chose Priya as the Blue Team leader and Maryada Manish for the Red Team.
A physical task involving a rope circle led to underdog Dammu Sreeja outperforming stronger male contestants, earning praise from judges including a changed opinion from Navdeep, who earlier doubted her. Sreeja was declared Most Valuable Player, while Kalki was chosen as the Worst Performer.

This season also introduces a double house format, along with the inclusion of both celebrities and commoners. The mix is set to intensify competition and deliver more drama than ever before.
