The community involvement demonstrated how Pakistani Hindus’ faith is still strong and how long-standing customs are being upheld.

The Pakistani festival also included “Dekhaves,” which are theatrical performances and acts that are frequently seen in India during Ganesh Chaturthi. Individuals costumed as Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, representing Lord Ganesha’s celestial parents. Dance and music were used to celebrate Ganpati Bappa’s arrival (aagman), and the farewell (visarjan) was just as lively, with followers dancing in the streets to say goodbye to the adored god. These instances demonstrated the same fervor and emotional commitment that characterize the Indian celebration.
