Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle has stormed the box office in Japan, becoming the country’s third-highest-grossing film and setting single-day records. Now, the much-awaited film is headed to Indian theatres. Ahead of the release, voice actor Takahiro Sakurai, who plays a key role in the anime, spoke about the global success of the series and his love for Indian cinema.
Fans Will Connect Deeply,” Says Sakurai. Takahiro Sakurai recently visited France for film promotions. He saw fans buzzing with excitement. “The energy from non-Japanese fans truly touched me,” he told the media. He hopes Indian fans will feel just as thrilled. “I can’t wait for them to watch the film,” he said. “They’ll connect with my character even more after this.”
Despite being rooted in Japanese culture, Demon Slayer has become a global phenomenon. Sakurai explained, “There’s something in Japanese craftsmanship that connects people everywhere. We recreate stories that stay true to Japan, but feel universal. That’s the power of anime like Demon Slayer.”
