Adivi Sesh Reacts To Deepika Padukone Sandeep Reddy Vanga Controversy

Deepika Padukone’s recent remarks about working hours and professionalism in cinema sent waves of conversation not just in Bollywood, but across the South Indian film industries as well. With these views, plus the ongoing discussion around Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s functioning in cinema, the whole thing comes back to what the industry does. Adivi Sesh has put across a more balanced view with a perspective that resonates with both artists and audiences.

Adivi Sesh Reacts To Deepika Padukone Controversy:

Deepika’s comments included that there should be regulated working hours in the sense of an 8-hours workday kind of thing. While those who did agree said that healthier routines lead to better creativity, others countered that one could not compare filmmaking with corporate jobs. Meanwhile, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, director of Arjun Reddy and Animal, has faced difficult moments with critics for an unfiltered and unconventional style of storytelling that, in the opinions of some, transcends acceptable levels of intensity and preparation on the set.

Adivi Sesh noted the double-edged debate in question, stating that cinema is a collective form, and inherently unpredictable. Hence, he endorsed Deepika’s thoughts, but insisted that movies require flexibility more than discipline. “This isn’t a desk job. With hundreds of people involved in making the movie, long hours and last-minute changes become part of that process,” he said.

About Vanga’s methodology, he felt that every director, indeed, has their own way of working. “It might not be pleasing to some, but cinema is sustained by this very variety of thought and execution,” he said. “Ultimately, what matters is whether the audience resonates with the story and performances. As actors, we adapt to different methods-it’s part of the challenge and the beauty of our profession.”

Adivi Sesh places the comments in a more instructive context for the controversy; anything that fans recognize as the call for healthier work conditions is valid, and then the nature of filmmaking entails unpredictability.
