South Theatrical Releases:
South Indian cinema continues to entertain audiences with a variety of new releases this week. From fantasy adventures to family dramas and thrillers, moviegoers have plenty of choices. Here’s a quick look at nine films hitting the big screen on September 12, 2025.


South Theatrical Releases:

1. Trikaali (Telugu)

This is the Telugu-dubbed version of the Tamil film Maayakoothu. It follows a writer whose imagination creates a mysterious world, leading to a magical adventure.

2. Middle Class Ramayana (Kannada)

Directed by Dhanush Gowda V, this comedy-drama features Vinu Gowda as a man who opens a gym after his father’s death. Trouble arises when his personal and financial struggles collide with love and relationships.


3. Kaayal (Tamil)

Gayathrie Shankar plays the lead in this emotional family drama about a young woman who campaigns against suicide but tragically takes her own life. The film focuses on her family’s journey as they come to terms with her loss.

4. Mirai (Telugu)

Starring Teja Sajja, Ritika Nayak, Manchu Manoj, and Shriya Saran, this fantasy action film tells the story of a chosen warrior who must protect nine sacred scriptures that hold god-like powers. Directed by Karthik Gattamneni, it promises adventure and grand visuals.

5. Blackmail (Tamil)

GV Prakash Kumar stars in this thriller about a man caught in a dangerous blackmail plot. With suspense and unexpected twists, the movie explores crime and survival.

6. Nidradevi Next Door (Kannada)

A romantic drama about a man battling insomnia, this film shows how his life changes after meeting a woman who brings peace but also new fears.

7. Thanal (Tamil)

Atharvaa Murali plays an ex-army man seeking revenge against the police for his brother’s death. The suspense thriller explores betrayal, justice, and survival.

8. Yolo (Tamil)

A romantic comedy thriller about a man who wakes up mysteriously married to a stranger, uncovering secrets that change their lives.

9. Kishkindhapuri (Telugu)

Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas and Anupama Parameswaran lead this horror-thriller about a group exploring an abandoned radio tower, only to face a deadly spirit.
