C Premkumar is a director who has become a favorite of the South Indian audience with the films 96 and Meiyazhagan. The audience who like feel-good films welcomed Premkumar’s first two films with open arms. Now, Premkumar is talking about his new film. Premkumar says that Fahadh Faasil is the hero of his new film. But this time, Premkumar is coming with a thriller film, different from the feel-good genre.
Premkumar made this clear during an interview given to a Tamil media outlet the other day. Premkumar clarified that he discussed the story of the film with Fahadh for about forty-five minutes, Fahadh liked the story, and that the film will be made in Tamil.
Meanwhile, Meiyazhagan, which starred Karthi and Aravind Swamy in the lead roles, received great appreciation from the audience. Maareesan was Fahadh’s last Tamil film. After the hit film Mamannan, Fahadh Faasil-Vadivelu’s Mareesan was a highly anticipated film. However, the film did not achieve much success at the theatres. The film was directed by Sudheesh Shankar.
The film, which was released as a road movie, was notable for the excellent performances of Fahadh and Vadivelu. The film, which had great emotional moments, also had a thriller nature. V. Krishnamurthy wrote the screenplay for the film. Kovai Sarala, Vivek Prasanna, Sithara, PL Thenappan, Livingston, Renuka, Saravana Subbaiah, Krishna, Haritha, Telephone Raj and others were the other main stars in the film. Produced by E for Entertainment, the film’s cinematography was handled by Kalaiselvan Sivaji, music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, editing by Sreejith Sarang, and art direction by Mahendran.
