The latest movie Mirai starring Teja Sajja, Manchu Manoj, and Shriya Saran was released worldwide on September 12, 2025. The movie is directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under the People Media Factory banner. This film is a social fantasy inspired by mythology. Shriya Saran plays a mother for the first time while Ritika Nayak is the female lead. Other key actors include Jagapathi Babu, Jayaram, Thirumala Kishore, Venkatesh Maha and Getup Srinu.
The film’s technical team includes Gaura Hari for music, Karthik Ghattamaneni as cinematographer, Sreekar Prasad as editor, Manibabu Karanam for dialogues, and Sri Nagendra Thangala as production designer. The trailer and promotions created huge expectations, leading to strong advance bookings.
Mirai is made with a budget of around 65 crores. The film emphasizes large action sequences and VFX work. It features a top star cast and experienced technicians. This high investment reflects in the rich production quality and top-class technical aspects.
The theatrical rights for different regions were sold for large amounts. Andhra Pradesh rights sold for 8 crores, Nizam for 7 crores, Ceded for 3 crores, Karnataka for 2 crores, Tamil Nadu for 2.5 crores, Kerala for 50 lakhs, and Hindi rights for 10 crores. Major production houses like Karan Johar in Hindi, Gokulam Pictures in Kerala, Hombale in Karnataka, and AGS in Tamil Nadu are releasing the film. In North America, Shloka Entertainments released it, earning around \$400K on the first day.
The movie received positive response during premieres. First-day ticket sales were high, with around 15,000 tickets sold per hour. Morning shows saw 55% occupancy, while afternoon shows recorded 60% occupancy. Trade analysts expect the first-day collections to be between 12 to 15 crores in India. If positive word-of-mouth continues, the movie could earn even more in the coming days.
Mirai is creating buzz across Telugu states, Karnataka, and overseas. Fans of Teja Sajja and social fantasy films are showing strong interest by making it one of the most talked-about releases of the year.
