Mirai Vs Kishkindhapuri Box Office Collections: Who Earned More Today?

Mirai Vs Kishkindhapuri Box Office Collections: Who Earned More Today?

Mirai Vs Kishkindhapuri Box Office Collections: An exciting box office clash shook the shores of Indian cinema this weekend as two contrasting films, Mirai and Kishkindhapuri, were released on the same day. Both films cater to an audience very different from each other. While Mirai caters to wider, mass-market appeal with definite strength in distribution in the Telugu states, Kishkindhapuri is attempting to gain attention through a much-rooted approach with much more niche appeal.

Day-1 Performance

A good show greeted Mirai on its first day, with an India net box office collection of ₹13 crore. The Telugu market was its strongest backbone, pulling in a near ₹11.15 crore, which was minorly assisted by the smaller amounts from Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada markets. On the other hand, Kishkindhapuri opened much less well, highly modest at ₹2.15 crore on Day-1. That said, there was a huge variation in start-up hype pre-release and stardom standing between the two films, which starkly favored Mirai.

Day 2 Early Estimates

The momentum also carried ahead to Saturday. Mirai saw slightly advanced numbers, collecting ₹13.50 crore, making the two-day total ₹26.50 crore. However, in terms of percentage growth, it stood at a meek 3.46%. This, however, is ample proof that audiences are coming in consistently. In comparison, Kishkindhapuri also grew incrementally on its second day by earning ₹2.50 crore-a two-day total of ₹4.65 crore. For the growth of a small film, it was encouraging; however, the difference in scale is so evidently widespread when it comes to Mirai.

This Clearly Ones Wins

When it comes to total earnings, very clear is Mirai by a wide margin in the box office race. It has collections almost six times that of Kishkindhapuri, thus ruling the market. For Kishkindhapuri, to collect ₹4.65 crore in two days would be decent by any standard-if we consider that on the bottom side are budget and expectations.

For now, Mirai, with mass appeal, good Telugu occupancy rate, and decent hold in collections, has turned out to be the bigger box-office winner. Kishkindhapuri may be a distant second, yet it may grow on positive word-of-mouth. Whether either film can sustain its momentum in the subsequent weekdays will then follow, but Mirai is the winner for today.
