Dhanush Upcoming Projects: Currently, one of the most versatile actors of Indian cinema, Dhanush is juggling Tamil blockbusters with Hindi dramas and international ventures. From sequels to biopics and his directorial work, the upcoming movie slate for 2025-26 has made the fans restlessly excited.
Releasing on October 1, 2025, Idly Kadai is a special project wherein Dhanush takes to directing, apart from acting. The film, inspired by Dhanush’s personal childhood memories, features Nithya Menen, Arun Vijay, Sathyaraj, among others.
This time, Dhanush is with Aanand L. Rai for the third time of their collaboration after Raanjhanaa and Atrangi Re. This Hindi film appears to be an emotionally charged romantic drama.
Currently under production, D54 (working title) will see Dhanush teaming up with acclaimed filmmaker H. Vinoth. The project promises to be an intense action drama.
The years-long wait of fans has finally borne fruit as Pudhupettai 2 enters pre-production. The sequel will continue the gritty journey of Kokki Kumar, one of Dhanush’s most iconic roles.
Playing the role of legendary music composer Ilaiyaraaja in an official biopic, Dhanush has taken possibly one of the toughest roles until now. The film created massive buzz across the nation.
Another untitled project-D55-directed by Rajkumar Periasamy is still in the pre-production stage. More details about the storyline are expected soon.
