Aishwarya-Abhishek Divorce: Bollywood’s favorite couple, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai, married in 2007. Their relationship has been subject to continuous public and media attention ever since. Rumors about their marriage have, at times, gone viral over the years, particularly in recent years when rumors of their break-up started filling social media.
Netizens accused the couple of having distanced themselves from each other, some going as far as stating that they did not stay together anymore because of supposed tensions between Aishwarya and her in-laws. Others even went so far as accusing the pair of “hating each other.” But when Aishwarya posted a moving birthday greeting for Abhishek on social media, hoping to shut down the rumors, the internet was not convinced. Rather than rejoice at the gesture, most pooh-poohed it as a PR stunt and kept burrowing for indications of trouble.
Now, laying most of these rumors to rest, Aishwarya’s former neighbor and noted ad film-maker Prahlad Kakkar has come out in a recent interview, giving insight into the couple’s personal life.
Kakkar added, “She is the in-law daughter of the house and yet she still rules the house. I knew no truth was to be believed because I knew why she was spending time with her mom. Everybody was speculating that she had parted ways with Abhishek and gone to stay with her mom. I reside in the same building and I understand how much time she spends there.”
He added, “Aishwarya goes to her mother as she is ill. She takes her daughter to school, picks her up, and meanwhile spends some time with her mother before reaching home. She is extremely close to her mother and is very fond of her.
