Aamir Khan – Rajkumar Hirani: Bollywood media circles are speculating that Aamir Khan was not happy with the script of Dadasaheb Phalke Biopic, which he was supposed to act in this Rajkumar Hirani’s directorial. But, now it is being said that Aamir Khan was not happy with the script narrated by Raju and Abhijath Joshi; he reportedly told them to rework the script and come back. They were supposed to start filming in October, but now it looks like the film will be pushed back.

Reason for the push back?

Speculations arose that Aamir was expecting a comedy-drama film, but Raju instead opted for a more serious drama. This did not sit well with Aamir; he was expecting Raju’s style of Comedy and human drama. He is not wrong to expect that because Rajkumar Hirani’s filmography consists of “Munna Bhai M.B.B.S”, “Lage Raho Munna Bhai”, “3 Idiots”, “P.K”, all these films are the biggest hits from Bollywood, and guess what? They are all comedy dramas.

Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir combo

Both these stars together worked for 2 major hits from Bollywood, “3 Idiots”, “PK” films, containing major socio-political themes with comedy being the main commercial attraction for the viewers. Both these films started the trend of the 300 crore club and the 500 crore club.

Although they both dealt with major themes, 3 idiots explored the defaults of our education system, PK, on the other hand, went deep into the drawbacks of blind faith, but these serious subject matters were digestible to the viewers because of the lens it was viewed, Raju presented these films through a comedy filter. This became digestible to the viewers, and they lapped up the films. No,w with this new biopic script, we can say that Aamir was not wrong to say no, because the combo’s hit trick needs something special, and he is pushing the creators to give their best. Let’s hope Raju and Abhijath rework the script and make the film.
