Robo Shankar Passed Away: On September 18, 2025, Robo Shankar breathed his last into the cosmic void at the age of 46. Audiences were enthralled by the Tamil actor and comedian for his incomparable timing and unforgettable personas in films like Maari and Viswasam. The actor, who had an accident and collapsed on the film set in Chennai, was swiftly whisked away to a private hospital and into the ICU. In spite of the best efforts of the medical staff, he took a turn for the worse and succumbed.


A Tribute From The Heart By Kamal Haasan

The famous actor Kamal Haasan usually shared a close relationship with Robo Shankar. On social media, he mourns for Shankar. In tears, he calls Shankar not merely a stage name but a brother and a great human being:

  “Robo Shankar, Robo is only a nickname. In my eyes, you are a man and my brother. You leave but your presence will remain in our hearts forever.”


By Kamal Haasan’s words, he added much more about esteem and affection he held for Shankar-not only as an individual but moreover as an actor who really made an impression even on his fellow actors.

Arrangements Of The Funeral

The mortal remains of Robo Shankar were finally taken to his house situated at Valasaravakkam in Chennai. With the funeral being held on Friday. Fans, co-stars, well-wishers are invited to attend the last rites.

Robo Shankar Passed Away Heritage and Contributions

Robo Shankar gained recognition when he appeared in Kalakka Povadhu Yaaru on television, portraying a fine stand-up comedian. Since then, he has become a much-sought-after actor in Tamil cinema,celebrated for his energetic performances blended with humor.

His wife, Priyanka Shankar, and daughter, Indraja Shankar, are also in the acting business. Robo’s sudden departure has created an immense void in Tamil cinema and is a loss to all his fans and colleagues who loved him as an entertainer.
