He had suffered from “a massive gastrointestinal bleed and multiorgan dysfunction secondary to a complex abdominal condition.” Despite receiving treatment in the ICU, his condition worsened, and he passed away at 9:05 pm.

Karthi’s reaction sparks debate

While several celebrities and political leaders shared condolences, actor Karthi’s message stood out. He wrote on social media: “It aches to see how destructive choices over time can erode health. A great talent gone too soon. My deepest condolences to his family and fans. RoboShankar.”
