The actress was said to have only asked for the bare minimum: timely payments, food for her team, and safe working conditions.

The atmosphere on set, however, turned toxic, with producers allegedly yelling, throwing objects, and disregarding repeated complaints. Faced with this situation, Deepika decided to step away not just from Kalki 2 but also from Spirit, another project under the same environment.
