OG: Telangana government approved ticket rate hikes?

Pawan Kalyan OG: Pawan Kalyan’s most anticipated film “OG” will be releasing on September 25th, the film is being directed by Saaho fame Sujeeth. According to the latest reports the film will have paid premiers across Telangana region. The premiers will be held from September 24th 9PM onwards and it is being said that the government also approved the ticket rate hike, let’s look at the details.

For the premier shows the ticket rates will be 800 rs/-, and for the regular shows starting from 25th and for a period of 10 days i.e, October 4th, the ticket rates will be increased by 100 rs/- for single screens and 150 rs/- for multiplexes. The total amount for single screens would be 277 rs/- per ticket, whereas the multiplex cost 445 rs/- per ticket.
With this official announcement from the government Pawan Kalyan ‘OG’ is all set to premier from September 24th.

Will ‘OG’ create records in the US?

Prabhas starrer ‘Kalki 2898AD’ holds the record of highest collected movie, it grossed 3.5 million dollars on its premier day release. ‘OG’ has already amassed around 2 million dollars, but, still the prominent distribution chain AMC theatres are yet to open the bookings for the film, according to their policy the tickets will become online only after they receive the content.

Now, the big question arises, will there be enough time for ‘OG’ to beat Kalki’s record remains to be seen. Even if it can beat the premier records the overall collections records held by Baahubali, a staggering 20 million dollars will be a mammoth task for ‘OG’. Unless the word of mouth and the content works the film may never reach that mark. We have to wait for another 5 days to see the possibility of the record breakings to happen.

With this annoucement of Telangana government approval of paid premiers, will the Andhra Pradesh government will also do the same? it already approved the massive ticket rate hikes but the permission for paid premiers is yet to come.
