Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 has been in the spotlight ever since its announcement, and for good reason. Touted as one of Bollywood’s most ambitious action films, the road to production has seen its fair share of bumps from casting shakeups to fan backlash. But now, the project is gaining momentum as it gears up for a January 2026 shoot.
After several changes in the cast, Tamil actor Arjun Das is now being considered to play the film’s main antagonist. Known for his intense performances in Kaithi, Master, and Good Bad Ugly, Arjun could be making his big Bollywood debut with this film.
A source told Pinkvilla, “Arjun has shown interest in the role. The character has multiple arcs and isn’t a typical villain.” His inclusion could bring depth and freshness to the storyline, bridging audiences from both Bollywood and South Indian cinema.
Originally, Kiara Advani was cast opposite Ranveer Singh. However, she has reportedly exited the project. Kriti Sanon is now expected to take her place as the female lead. Meanwhile, Vikrant Massey, who was once linked to the antagonist’s role, opted out due to concerns over character depth.
Don 3 aims to push the envelope on action. International stunt teams, previously involved in global blockbusters, are reportedly on board. Sources say the film will feature slick, Bond-style sequences, as the makers target a more international appeal.
Ranveer Singh will begin intensive workshops soon to prepare for the iconic role. He’s expected to bring a new spin to the character, without imitating his legendary predecessors.
