Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has addressed the viral AI-generated videos circulating online that falsely depict him as Maharishi Valmiki. On Tuesday, Akshay took to his Instagram Stories to clarify that he is not part of any such project and slammed the misleading content.
In his post, Akshay wrote, “I have recently come across some AI-generated videos of a film trailer showing me in the role of Maharishi Valmiki. I want to clarify that all such videos are fake and created using AI.”
He further criticized certain media outlets for spreading these clips without proper verification. “What’s worse, some news channels decide to pick these up as ‘news’ without even verifying if these are real or morphed,” he added.
Akshay expressed concern over the rise of AI-generated misinformation. “In today’s time, when misleading content is being produced at great speed through manipulative AI, I sincerely request media houses to verify and report only after authenticating the information,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Akshay is Celebrating the success of of Jolly LLB 3, which had the original Jolly Arhsad Warsi. The popular courtroom drama franchise has already joined the 100 crore club. Directed by Subhash Kapoor, the film reunites both the Jolly’s with the OG Judge Saurabh Shukla.
The Jolly LLB series blends legal drama with satire, tackling themes like corruption and justice. Akshay played the lead in the second part, and the third film promises a face-off between both Jollys Arshad’s Jagdish Tyagi and Akshay’s Jagdishwar Mishra.
