Pawan Kalyan is set to release his much-anticipated film OG the day after tomorrow, with paid premieres starting tomorrow. However, his team confirmed that the actor is currently battling a viral fever. The illness reportedly started after he stood drenched in the rain for 30-40 minutes during the film’s pre-release event.
At the OG pre-release event, Pawan Kalyan surprised fans by reciting a Japanese haiku written by director Sujeeth. This unique touch reflected a key moment in the film, adding cultural depth and excitement. Despite standing drenched in rain for nearly 40 minutes, Pawan’s energy and dedication shone through, making the event memorable and raising anticipation for the film’s release.
Despite feeling unwell, Pawan showed remarkable determination. He traveled to Amaravati to attend the Assembly sessions on Monday and participated despite the fever. His publicist shared that Pawan’s fever worsened from Monday night, prompting doctors to run tests and advise rest. Yet, the actor continued to manage departmental work through teleconferences.
Advance bookings for OG are already underway across Telugu states and Karnataka. Paid premieres will be priced at Rs. 800 in Telangana, Rs. 1000 in Andhra Pradesh, and around Rs. 700 in Karnataka. While Andhra Pradesh multiplexes have started full bookings, Telangana’s national multiplexes are yet to open advance sales.
Directed by Sujeeth and produced by DVV Danayya and Kalyan Dasari, OG is a big-ticket action entertainer. The film stars Pawan Kalyan alongside Priyanka Mohan and features Emraan Hashmi as the antagonist. The cast also includes Sriya Reddy, Arjun Das, Prakash Raj, Harish Uthaman, Abhimanyu Singh, and Upendra Limaye in key roles.
