UK Fashion Brand NEXT Enters India with First Store in Pune

NEXT Comes To India

UK-based fashion retailer NEXT has officially stepped into the Indian retail scene, launching its first physical store in Pune. This marks the brand’s debut in India and signals the start of an ambitious expansion plan across key cities.

First Store Launches in Pune

The flagship Indian store is located at Pavilion Mall, Pune, and spans 7,100 square feet. The store offers a curated selection of NEXT’s global fashion lines and has been launched in partnership with Myntra Jabong India Pvt. Ltd. (MJIPL), which holds the license for distributing NEXT products in India.

More Stores Coming Soon

NEXT has big plans for India. Over the next five to six years, the brand aims to open more than 50 points of sale through a mix of exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) and shop-in-shop formats. Cities on the radar include Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. The brand also plans to partner with major multi-brand retailers like Shoppers Stop to make its products more widely available across India.

Focus on Premium Children’s Fashion

One of NEXT’s key strengths lies in children’s wear, a category that remains underrepresented in India’s premium fashion segment. With its entry, the brand aims to offer more stylish and high-quality options for fashion-conscious parents seeking better choices for their kids.

Strategic Partnership with Myntra

Through its partnership with MJIPL, NEXT will leverage Myntra’s retail expertise and omni-channel presence. The collaboration includes the right to operate franchisee stores and distribute NEXT products in India both online and offline.
