Jailer ‘2’: Superstar Rajinikanth is shooting for his highly anticipated Jailer ‘2’. This Nelson directorial will mark his second collaboration with the star. Starring Ramya Krishna along with Mirnaa Menon and a number of other supporting cast members. According to the buzz online, the film unit completed a schedule in Kerala. A number of videos from the shooting location are circulating online, fans are going gaga over the news. 

Shooting update so far

With this Kerala schedule completion it is expected that more than half of the film shooting will be done. In this schedule the team captured a major action sequence. Rajinikanth shot his portion in the palakkad area and he was greeted with fans, they showered him with love and warmth. 

This Kerala schedule captured the climatic portions of the film. With this completion of shoot it is believed that more than 60 percent of the shooting is done.

Release date announced by Rajini

Upon the completion of schedule, Rajinikanth returned to Chennai, he was swarmed by the media at the airport, he was asked when will the film hit the screens? He replied the film will hit the screens on June 12th,2026. 

Rajini congratulated Mohanlal on his win

Malayalam star Mohanlal recently won Dadasaheb Phalke award, on this occasion Rajini congratulated him on his journey and extended his warm wishes to the star. He met him in Kerala and greeted him personally. Mohanlal played a cameo role in Jailer. 

Jailer ‘2’ offers big action and new stars

Jailer became the second highest grosser in Rajinikanth career after 2.0, it grossed over 600 crores at the box office. Now, with Jailer ‘2’ Nelson is planning big action episodes and new stars will come on board as per the speculations. It is rumored that SJ Suryah and Nandamuri Balakrishna will act in Jailer ‘2’. We have to wait for the official confirmation from the makers.
