OG Day 1 Box Office:

Pawan Kalyan’s latest film They Call Him OG has finally released in theatres, and expectations are sky-high. The movie is one of the most awaited Telugu films of 2025 and marks the actor’s second big release this year after Hari Hara Veera Mallu.

The film is also special because it brings Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi into Telugu cinema for the first time. His role as the villain facing Pawan Kalyan has been a major talking point. The film is written and directed by Sujeeth, known for stylish action dramas.

Apart from Pawan and Emraan, the film has a strong cast including Priyanka Mohan, Arjun Das, Prakash Raj, Rao Ramesh, Sriya Reddy, and Subhalekha Sudhakar. The story follows Ojas Gambheera (played by Pawan Kalyan), a gangster who returns to Mumbai after ten years with a mission to destroy crime lord Omi Bhau (Emraan Hashmi).

From its teaser to trailer, every glimpse of OG has created huge excitement among fans. Trade experts believe the film could set new records at the box office. According to business analyst Rohit Jaiswal, They Call Him OG has been made on a massive budget of around Rs 220 crore and is expected to collect over Rs 60 crore on its opening day, including paid premieres.

If these predictions come true, OG will beat Ram Charan’s Game Changer, which earned Rs 51 crore on day one, and become the highest Telugu opener of 2025.

Meanwhile, Emraan Hashmi expressed his happiness about working in Telugu cinema. He said that debuting with a film opposite Pawan Kalyan was a dream opportunity and praised director Sujeeth’s vision. He also shared that he enjoyed working on his look, lines, and character for the role.
