Bollywood Gossip: Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta made observational and insightful comments about Bollywood actors and their demands during film shootings is going overboard. He recently gave an interview to a podcast channel, in which he said nowadays actors need a big entourage for them, which is too much for a producer to handle, let’s look into the details…
What did he say?
Sanjay Gupta has directed Shootout film series, Kaanta, Kaabil and he is famous for the American film remakes in Bollywood. In a recent interview he said nowadays actors are demanding unnecessary utilities, which is increasing the cost of the film in a wrong way.
He gave an example of a particular actor, he did not say who it is, but, he went on to say, this particular actor needs 6 vanity vans during the shoot of the film. He explained this actor uses one van for his personal space, one for hair and makeup and one for personal meetings, one for gym and one for one for his personal cooking and one for his staff.
This total entourage including the staff for that entourage cost 18lakhs per day. Now the real question arises, will this amount be reflected on screen in any way?

Who is the actor?
While the filmmaker did not say directly who this particular actor is, netizens and Bollywood Gossip circles who saw the interview are saying in the comments that it is indeed Ranveer Singh. This is a mere speculation, and the truth in these comments are to be verified.
Are these demands valid?
Each individual actor has their own process to approach acting, if an actor believes he can deliver his best with these resources in hand, then it will be the choice of filmmakers to decide whether they need that actor or not for their film. In a sense, if this individual needs this and that for him to deliver his best then arguing about those demands seems meaningless and to generalize those demands will be harmful to the entire industry.
