Kantara Chapter 1 Hindi Advance Booking:
The movie, which stars Rishab Shetty, Rukmini Vasanth, and Gulshan Devaiah, is backed by Hombale Films. The film is a prequel to Kantara (2022), which became a record-breaking success in Kannada cinema. Interestingly, just like the first part, Rishab Shetty has not only acted in the film but has also directed it.
On the first day of pre-sales (September 28), the film sold 7,200 tickets across the leading national chains. Out of this, 6,000 tickets were booked at PVR Inox, while 1,200 were sold at Cinepolis, as per the data collected till 11 PM. This is considered a decent start, with three more days left before the film’s release.
If the bookings continue to grow, the film could open to a strong start at the Hindi box office. Trade experts suggest that Kantara: Chapter 1 may earn close to ₹20 crore on Day 1, provided the momentum continues. However, the real test will be the audience’s word of mouth, which played a huge role in the success of the original movie.
The trailer of the film has already received an overwhelming response. With strong buzz and positive anticipation, the movie carries big expectations. The makers are confident that this prequel will match or even surpass the glory of the first part.
For those unaware, the original Kantara (2022) was made on a small budget but went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters in Indian cinema, even overtaking huge films like KGF: Chapter 2 in certain regions.
Now, with Kantara: Chapter 1, fans are eager to witness the story behind the legend. If the film performs well, it has the potential to become one of the highest-grossing films of 2025.
