Genetic Cholesterol Risk:
High cholesterol is a major risk factor for heart disease, and it can quietly affect entire families without showing any symptoms. Doctors recommend starting cholesterol checks at age 18, or even earlier if there is a strong family history of heart disease or high lipids. Treatments include lifestyle changes, medications like statins, and in certain cases, advanced therapies such as injectable drugs like Inclisiran, which help maintain safe LDL levels with just two doses per year.
