Veteran actor Simi Garewal talked about Ravan in the recent talk show, shocking both fans and internet users with an unusual Dussehra social media post. In a lengthy message posted on her X (previously Twitter) account on Thursday, Simi praised Ravan, the demon king who is customarily burned in effigy on Dussehra to symbolize the victory of virtue over evil.

Simi Garewal Praises Ravan:
Garewal questioned the long-standing demonization of Ravan in Indian mythology in her post. “Dear Ravana, On this day each year, we commemorate the triumph of good over evil. However, in theory, your actions need to be reclassified as “Slightly Naughty” rather than “Evil.” Tumne kiya hi kya tha, after all? (What did you do, after all?)”

Following that, she also said, “You kidnapped a lady in haste… but after that, you gave her more respect than we normally give to women in today’s world. You offered her good food, shelter, even women security guards (not too good looking though).”

Additionally, she compared Ravan’s education standards with present Indian politicians. She said, “And… I believe you were more educated than half of our Parliament. Trust me, dude… There ain’t no hard feelings to burn you… Just that it’s the In-Thing. Happy Dussehra”
