Kantara Chapter ‘1’: Rishabh Shetty’s Kantara Chapter ‘1’ is having a blast at the box office. Until yesterday the film collected over 300 crores at the global box office. Now, according to the latest reports, Kantara crossed 20 crore nett in the Hindi market. And the bookings for Sunday are also good, trade predicts that by the end of next week Kantara has every possibility to enter the 100 crore club.

1000 crores?

This year the Indian cinema box office did not have a 1000 crore film yet. But Rishabh Shetty’s Kantara Chapter ‘1’ may very well be the first 1000cr film this year. In bookmyshow the film surpassed 3 million in ticket sales.

Kantara Chapter ‘1’ can become the second Kannada film to surpass the 1000 crore mark after KGF chapter ‘2’. Interestingly both these films are produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale films banner.

Telugu version is growing big

On the opening day in Telugu states Kantra collected 13 crores, and on the second the figure dropped to 5.3 crores. But the weekend saw the major jump in bookings and the exact reports are awaited. But looking at the massive response the film is gathering from all corners, it will surely cross the 50 crores mark by the end of second week.

3 MILLION 

In the North American Box office Kantara is nearing the 3 million mark collection at the box office. The film will likely pass the 10 million mark in its lifetime. This can be the biggest for a Kannada film.

Positives in the film

While Rishabh is praised for his performance and handling the direction of the film. The more raving is going towards the craft in the film, many people are praising the sound effects and music and the camerawork in the film. This is a unique feat because normally these departments get less credit compared to other departments who work in the filmmaking process.
