Spirit: Controversial Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga is in Pre-production phase for his next venture with Prabhas. The film is titled ‘SPIRIT’. Tripti Dimri is playing the female lead in the film. Now, according to the latest buzz Sandeep wants Vivek Oberoi to play the antagonist role in the film, talks are still going on, nothing has been confirmed yet.

Casting Controversy

During the initial stages Sandeep wanted Deepika Padukone to play the female lead in ‘SPIRIT’, but talks fell apart and she said no to the film. Many speculated that Sandeep did not bend his knee to the demands of the actress, this speculation grew strong when Deepika also exited from the sequel of Kalki ‘2’.

Now, Vivek is also from Bollywood, if he too has specific demands, can Sandeep now take a step back because the project is getting delayed day by day due to a number of external factors, casting is one of them. With Prabhas working non stop on ‘RaajaSaab’ and ‘Fauji’, he will soon be ready for Spirit. But by then Sandeep has to be ready to go straight into shoot mode.

Vivek as the actor

Sandeep is a kind of artist who creates Raw and Intense characters, whether it is Arjun Reddy or Ranvijay Singh in Animal or Abrar, all of them are intense in nature. For the portrayal of these characters Sandeep needs terrific performers who can push the limits in behaviour. 

Vivek has proved that he can do negative shades, he acted in Vishal Bharadwaj ‘Omkara’ and Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Raktha Charitra’, ‘Company’ and ‘Krish 3’. In all these films he played negative and intense roles, so we can assume Sandeep has full confidence that Vivek can pull off his kind of characterization.

Spirit is supposed to release next year end, Sandeep is planning to shoot this film in a single stretch.
