Sita in Ramayana: The filming of the epic Ramayana is undoubtedly India’s most-watched progress. There have been reports that Sai Pallavi has now been signed to essay the role of Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s highly awaited epic. Word in the trade was that a few of the top heroines-Srinidhi Shetty, Alia Bhatt, and Rashmika Mandanna-had been approached for the role. Yet, after a few rounds of auditions, Sai Pallavi alone was chosen to essay the divine role.
As per a source from the production, the Ramayana team did not go for big names but rather auditioned their actresses. Fans, who call this a new breeze into an industry long perceived to be laden with nepotism, have welcomed the move.
Srinidhi Shetty recently addressed post-auditions what she had to say, noting that she had “not rejected the Sita role but was simply not selected” after auditions. Such an open and humble appeal had influenced the audience’s hearts and earned her huge respect among netizens. Her response was labeled as “mature” and “graceful” by many, and her acknowledgment of rejection was viewed as true professionalism.
Reports indicate that Sai Pallavi is being accepted by the masses for her choice compared to the other speculated actresses. Her emotional performances and the extremely natural way that she performs on screen, the actress was likely to bring a lot of emotionality and realism to the character of Sita.
With immense hype generated on behalf of Ramayana by Tiwari, this remake is going to be among the largest endeavors on Indian cinema. With Ranbir Kapoor playing Rama and Sai Pallavi playing Sita, the crowd can’t wait for what the mythological epic has in store; one which is likely to redefine the tale of cinema in style.
