OOSARAVELLI: Released in 2011, Jr.Ntr starrer Oosaravelli marks its anniversary today i.e, October 6th, 2025. Fans of the star are pouring in messages online celebrating the film’s anniversary. Surender Reddy directed this film under the SVCC banner. Bhogavalli Prasad produced this film, Tamanna Bhatia played the female lead in the film.

Weak Box Office collections 

Oosaravelli collected the whole 28 crores at the box office when it was released. This kind of number is very low compared to the present scenario. But, at the time of its release, the film is considered an average hit. 

On the opening day the film collected a share of 7.8 crores at the box office, this is a good number at that time. 

Dsp’s Magic

Oosaravelli has Devi Sri Prasad as its composer, audiences lapped up the songs from the film, and all the tracks from the film gained a massive traction during its release. In recent times when the film is re-released in theatres people danced to these tracks. 

One more entertaining aspect fans loved is the film’s background score, especially NTR’s theme in the film is still one of the best BGM’s in Telugu cinema. 

NTR’s unique characterization

Ntr played a street hooligan Tony in the film, he is very unique in his nature as he can change his behaviour according to the situation around him, that’s why the film is named as Chameleon(Oosaravelli). This worked well in the first half of the film but the entire second half did not set well within the tone it set up in the first half. 

Thundering climax

When the twist is revealed in the interval, the kind of high it gives with  energetic performance from Jr.Ntr is matched only in the end of the film when the same character speaks again in the same manner but in a different situation. The film ends on a high note it began with.
