What did she say?

Reports claimed that Samantha is in initial stage talks with the filmmaker, but nothing has been officially confirmed yet. If everything falls in place this could be the first on screen pairing of Samantha and Simbu.

Simbu’s film is not Vada Chennai ‘2’

When Vetrimaaran announced the project, everyone started speculating that this film is a sequel to Dhanush starrer Vada Chennai. But, later both the filmmaker and actor said the sequel reports are not true. Later Vetrimaaran said that this film will be happening around the Vada Chennai world, but it is completely a new film with new characters set in the universe of Vada Chennai.

Dhanush announced Vada Chennai ‘2’

During the recent promotions of his new film ‘Idly Kadai’ Dhanush officially announced that Vada Chennai ‘2’ will happen very soon in the future. This again raised speculations that he was referencing Simbu’s film? But he then clarified that he will be acting in the film. This put every rumor to rest.

Simbu and Samantha Upcoming projects

Simbu is currently shooting for his film with Ramkumar Balakrishnan, Kayadu Lohar is playing the female lead in the film, Sanathanam is said to be returning as a comedian for this film. Simbu is playing the role of a college professor in the film. After completion of this film he will then join the sets of Vetrimaaran film.

Samantha too is busy with a couple of projects, one of them is ‘Maa Inti Bangaram’ in Telugu and a web series titled “Raktha Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom”. Both these projects are in the pre-production phase.
