Indian actor Varun Dhawan is in negotiation with the prestigious production house Maddock Productions, for some interesting films in the pipeline. As insiders reveal, the production company has pitched three different scripts which are said to be interesting for Varun in three different genres, showcasing his versatility as an actor.
The first script allegedly is an independent movie going deep into the folklore and mythology of India, along the lines of a horror-comedy. The mix seems to promise an exclusive concoction of the ancient and the contemporary, a unique tradeoff between storytelling and cinematic forms; one of the most ambitious projects in the horror-comedy genre. Early indicators seem to suggest that Varun Dhawan may favor this project owing to his preoccupation with trials of a different narrative format.
In the second project, while it is also a romantic comedy, the film will not only focus on a love story, but will also have a very strong social message. It is expected to have a good mix of humour and romance with a good discourse on issues of contemporary reality, which will allow Varun to connect really well with the audience with a mixture of light-heartedness and serious stories.
Thirdly, this is the sequel to “Badlapur,” one of the most anticipated sequels to the revenge thriller blockbuster of 2015. The fans of the first installment are promised a story that is dark and gripping, with emotional notes, where Varun Dhawan will once again take the mantle of vengeance and justice.
All three scripts are causing a stir, with the folk mythology horror-comedy most likely to go ahead. As early as 2026, Maddock Productions and Varun Dhawan will make an announcement about all three projects, to the great excitement of the awaiting fans. With this varied slate, Varun Dhawan is likely to be on his way to yet another series of very important performances, catering to the different sections of the audience.
