However, sparks as light-heartedness are from fans by speculating whether or not Karan’s humorous dig had some connotation against the ongoing Aryan Khan-sameer Wankhede controversy.
It was a ceremony when Shah Rukh Khan teased Karan Johar about his much-publicized weight loss to which he responded with, “Are you on Ozempic?” referring to that drug which is doing the rounds in Hollywood as the weight loss wonder. upped into laughter but also sparked buzz online, given the context of sameer wankhede’s recent defamation case against Aryan khan’s Netflix project, the bads of bollywood.
Sameer Wankhede, the former NCB officer who led the 2021 investigation against Aryan Khan, recently filed a ₹2 crore defamation suit against Shah Rukh Khan’s production house, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Netflix. He claimed that the series portrayed a character resembling him, which tarnished his image. Following the case, Wankhede also alleged that his family had received threatening messages online after the show’s release.
With mixed reactions at social media’s arenas, some who praised Johar’s witty word usage while others claimed it a subtle jab on the controversy surrounding his close friend’s family, Shah Rukh Khan. While Karan has neither denied nor confirmed the pretense behind his comments, it has surely raised further curiosity about what goes on in the daily debates in Bollywood.
